Happy to have formed part of the ESC 2015 in Vienna
The website eventtransferservice.at is an offer provided by its head organization City Tours Austria. Do you want to know more about our background and get more information on our transportation company? !
Of course it is an even more special occasion to host an event in one's own city. Thus, EventtransferserviceAT was particularly happy and proud to be a part of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 that took place in Vienna. By providing bus reservation through its online booking system, by providing bus charter service in order to arrive to Vienna and by catering groups offering bus transfer service within Vienna, we believe we could do our best being at the side of our guests. Read below what kind of bus rental service we offered to our guests during the ESC 2015:
Bus service to and from the airport VIE Schwechat: The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 took place in the capital of Austria, namely Vienna. To enable our guests to arrive conveniently and comfortably, we offered tourists bus reservation and private limousine reservation for airport service. We did not only pick up guests from the airport Schwechat, also the reservation of bus service starting in Bratislava or in Budapest was very popular. For larger groups, we also offered airport assistants to make sure people found their way from the airport arrival hall to the bus stop station.
Simple transfers and round trips within Vienna: To make the most of their stay within Vienna, public transport service was not always the best option available to ESC guests. Thus, in order to get from the hotel to the venues or from an after show event back to the hotel, even outside of Vienna, many tourists decided to rather book a bus with driver with our company. Smaller groups decided to make a reservation for a minibus. Yet smaller groups of individual tourists preferred to take the option of a minivan hire (suitable for 8 PAX) or even a Mercedes limousine with driver (suitable for 4 PAX).
Half day excursions starting Vienna: On days off the ESC events, half day excursions were high in demand with our guests. Different destinations were available for our guests. A bus trip to the Wachau valley for a wine tasting tour, a trip to the Heurigen region of south of Vienna like Baden, Guntramsdorf or Bad Vöslau or to historic places like Heiligenkreuz and Mayerling were often organized by our agency. A chartered bus service was also useful to get around to see the Wienerwald - the green region full of forrests around Vienna.
Full day excursions starting or ending in Vienna: Those guests that were ready to spend more hours out of Vienna had a wide selection of full day excursions with bus or minibus starting in Vienna to choose from. A full day bus rental or a full day minibus hire let tourists enjoy the cities of Budapest, Salzburg, Graz or even Prague. To complement their sightseeing tours, both within Vienna and outside of Vienna, the bus rental could be amended by a guide service. On demand, our agency offered highly skilled licensed guides for walking tours and city sightseeing tours in the bus - fluent in different languages. Listening to a friendly and humourful guide talking in their mother tongue made our guests spend a full day excursion in their proper bus a day to remember.
Not too surprisingly, as the ESC 2015 took place during summer, a lot of tourists combined their visit to Vienna with a longer journey in Europe. A good means to travel many European countries comfortably within a short period of time is a LDC bus hire . After a bus reservation, guests were able to travel from one country to another using the bus, having the opportunity to be seated in an air-conditioned bus with a friendly driver while enjoying the landscapes travelling from one city to another. Popular starting or ending destinations were Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Vienna, often, was the great grand final with the ESC as the highlight.
The Rathausplatz Vienna was one of the most prominent venues of the ESC.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015
It was certainly a day to remember when Conchita Wurst won the 59th song contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a reward, Austria was invited to host the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2015 in Vienna. As a matter of fact, due to an anniversary of the European Broadcasting Union, Australia was invited to participate in the ESC for the first time in history. Given the fact many times Austria is confused with Australia, the running gag of a country coming home was established. However, even after the ESC, there are still no kangaroos in Vienna.

Past venues of the ESC
In its long-lasting history the ESC has been hosted by many different cities across Europe already. Until 2018, Great Britain has been able to host the event 8 times - thus leading the list of the recurrent hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest. Ireland ranks second on the list, Sweden has had the opportunity six times already and is thus on the third place. However, strictly speaking of cities only, Dublin in Ireland is in the lead as the city itself has hosted the event 6 times already.
